Obstetrics

The Maternity Center at Saint Anthony Hospital includes state of the art LDRs and a Level II neonatal nursery in Chicago. The center occupies a whole floor with special security to promote patient and newborn safety. The labor and delivery rooms foster privacy in an environment that supports new families. They are designed to be homelike with wood furnishings, TV and a private bathroom. They also include high tech equipment and a specialized team caring for the mother and baby. To assure a comfortable delivery experience we have obstetrical anesthesiologists to manage patient pain. Family involvement and bonding is the goal and rooming in is encouraged. Special bilingual classes are provided daily to assure that new parents are prepared for delivery and are comfortable caring for the newborns. Obstetricians, Midwives, and Family Practitioners provide obstetrical care. In addition, high-risk OB consultants and clinics are on site. All Midwives are Masters prepared.
