SAINT ANTHONY HOSPITAL PARTNERS WITH A SILVER LINING FOUNDATION
Saint Anthony Hospital Partners with A Silver Lining Foundation
Hospital Ensures that Area Uninsured Women Receive Mammograms
Saint Anthony Hospital has a long history of ensuring that all members of the community receive quality care regardless of their ability to pay. In an effort to further increase awareness of early detection of breast cancer on Chicago’s West and Southwest Sides, Saint Anthony Hospital has joined with A Silver Lining Foundation (ASLF) to provide free exams to the uninsured through the foundation’s Buy A Mom A Mammogram® program. As of
February 1st, ASLF added Saint Anthony Hospital to its list of partner hospitals.
“Our community deserves quality healthcare and services that will enable them to live long healthy lives. By offering Saint Anthony as a referral site for ASLF, we are able to educate and treat more patients,” stated Guy A. Medaglia, President and Chief Executive Officer, Saint Anthony Hospital.
The partnership will increase the number of ASLF’s hospitals to 10. “By adding Saint Anthony Hospital to our family of hospital partners, we can increase access to screening and diagnostic mammography for women who otherwise do not have access to such services,” said Dr. Sandy Goldberg, Founder, A Silver Lining Foundation.
“This is just another way that Saint Anthony Hospital values community partnerships to provide the best care for our patients,” says Medaglia. As part of its commitment to quality care, Saint Anthony recently added digital mammography in October. In 2012, Saint Anthony Hospital performed more than 2,300 mammograms.
